How Torii Parcel Works
The process is designed to keep you informed before money is paid or an item is purchased. Each request is reviewed individually because availability and international shipping rules vary.
Effective date: 2026-07-11
Request and review
1. Send the item link or description
Share the Japanese product page, or tell us the brand, product name, size, color, character, store, or other details you remember. Sending a request does not create a charge.
2. We review availability and restrictions
We check the listing, available seller information, product condition where shown, domestic delivery, and known international shipping restrictions.
3. You receive a quote
The quote may include the item price, domestic shipping, service fee, optional handling, and an international shipping estimate. Quotes may have an expiry date because stock, exchange rates, and shipping costs can change.
Approval and payment
4. You approve and complete payment
You may accept or decline the quote. If you approve it, we send a secure Stripe payment link. We do not purchase the item until payment has been confirmed.
5. We purchase the item
After approval and payment confirmation, we try to purchase the approved item. Limited, auction, marketplace, and pre-owned listings may sell out while a request is being reviewed, so purchase success cannot be guaranteed.
Arrival in Japan
6. The item arrives at Torii in Japan
The original seller ships the item domestically to our location in Japan. Domestic delivery timing depends on that seller and carrier.
7. Optional photo or condition check
When requested and practical, we can provide a basic photo or visible-condition check. This is not a professional authentication, testing, appraisal, or warranty service.
International delivery
8. We pack and ship
We prepare the parcel and explain available shipping choices before dispatch. Options depend on the product, parcel size and weight, carrier rules, and destination.
9. You receive tracking information
We provide tracking when the selected service supports it. Tracking events and delivery timing are controlled by the carriers involved.
10. Customs and final delivery
The destination country's customs authority and local carrier complete clearance and delivery. Duties, import taxes, and clearance fees may be charged to the recipient.
